Eagerly taking its place among the world’s top travel
destinations, China is an epic adventure! The sheer diversity of China’s terrain takes you from noisy cities fizzing with energy to isolated mountain-top Ming-Dynasty villages where you can hear a pin drop.
While China is the world’s oldest continuous civilization, many have still not yet heard of the One who came and died so that they may live eternally, Jesus Christ.
When visiting China you will have the opportunity to help with our contact's 5 focuses of ministry.
Caring for Orphans: The orphans at the Foster Home all have special physical needs and were brought into our contacts care from orphanages all over China.
Teaching English: This is an exciting way to build relationships with Chinese people.
Visiting Elderly: Elderly people are sometimes the most neglected and forgotten members of society, working with our contact you will have the opportunity to visit them and offer a caring hand.
Serving the Poor: Our contact reaches out to the neediest families in their community with the goal of helping restore dignity and hope to these families.
Provide Medical Care: Your volunteer work would vary, based on your level of knowledge and experience in your field of health and your fluency in the language, and would be a tremendous blessing to our contact.
The team will be staying in dorm-type facilities; each person will have their own bed (sleeping bags are not required). Food will be prepared by sanctioned cooks and purified water is readily available.
While in China, team members will also have a variety of excursions to choose from, including the Great Wall, Ming Tombs, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, and the Temple of Heaven. There will also be plenty of opportunity for souvenir shopping.
